Carli Hood

I started out at GBAH in 2017 as a kennel technician and groom bather. After graduating from MSU in 2016 with a Bachelors in Psychology, I was not sure what I wanted to do.I worked my way up from Kennel technician to a vet assistant role, and then became the lead VA. I was asked to take the Hospital Manager position in 2022.

I love GBAH, it is my home away from home. I have learned so much about myself through working here. It is an honor to work alongside this team. It has been so amazing to be a part of a place that pushes out future vets, hires amazing new grads, and promotes from within!

Pro pet, pro client, pro team is a motto that we live by at Gill Bright Animal Hospital. I love being able to be an advocate for our pet and human clients! My vision for our hospital is to expand the quality of care that is offered here in Lake Charles, and surrounding areas. We like the idea of pet owners not having to drive out of town to get the care needed for their furry family members.

Outside of work I enjoy listening to live music, and baking. I love to read, and I recently picked up a new hobby – crocheting!

I have a couple pets of my own. Syd is a beagle mix, he is my spoiled, loud, and stubborn baby. Romie is a lab mix, she is the sweetest most loving (sometimes to a fault) girl ever! Bree is a jack russell mix that is the epitome of the youngest child. Lola is our cat that keeps the dogs in check and runs the house. I also have a guinea pig named Hotch!!

I also have two beautiful daughters that are my absolute world!
